Are you just starting out as an illustrator and looking for some guidance and support to help take your work to the next level? 

I'm offering mentorship sessions to help you find your niche, build your portfolio, and navigate the industry. With over 20 years of experience as a graphic designer and 11 as an illustrator, and even running my own branding agency in the past, I've been on both sides of the coin - as a commissioning director and an illustrator working to a brief. I understand the branding and design context of illustration so I can give you an idea what art directors would expect from you.

 I’m not going to teach you how to illustrate - I believe you're good enough at it to be in this industry - but I can help you shape your portfolio to your preferred niche, help you "find your style" (whatever that means), and talk you through the business side of illustration - CVs, briefs, licensing, contracts and negotiations. 

Just to give you an idea of my background, I've worked with some pretty big brands like CNN, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, NBC, P&G, NHS, Babylon Health, Migration Museum, IntelyCare, The National Lottery, Odeon Cinemas, Shelter and many more. I've held over 15 public talks and my work has been recognised with over 30 awards in illustration and animation. I've been featured in Steven Heller's "Illustration Idea Book: Inspiration from 50 Masters" and included in the top 20 Creative Influencers on Creativepool, and took part in lots of exhibitions internationally. 

Here's what I can offer you:

✷ One-off portfolio review / consultation (defining your strong sides and areas to improve, quick advice on the niche and ways to get into the industry, and answering any other burning questions you might have) - 1 hour - £70.

✷ Mentorship programme: up to half year, calls or in-person meetings once a week / once in two weeks, depending on your needs - growing your career step by step. Includes a free half an hour call to get to know each other and see if I can help you. Following calls will be one hour long, and you can send me two emails with questions and follow ups between each session.
First call free. Next sessions - £60 each, or block of 4 sessions - £200.
Mentees will have an access to my 'resources' page with a carefully selected list of tools, suppliers and opportunities.
